Questions

What does the deposit do?

The $500 deposit reserves the stone and the place in the schedule. It is fully refundable until crafting begins, and it comes off the final price.

Are the stones treated?

Any treatment is disclosed in writing before you pay a cent, and it is on the certificate. Richard will walk you through exactly what you are buying on the call.

What if the size is wrong?

Resizing is free. We size on the call before crafting, and if it still needs adjusting after delivery we handle it.

Can I return it?

The deposit is refundable until crafting begins. Once a ring is made to your specification it is final sale, and damage or defects are covered within 48 hours of delivery.

How does it ship?

Fully insured and tracked, signature on delivery. You get the tracking the moment it leaves.

Certification & authenticity

Richard is a geologist by profession. Long before RJR, he spent a career reading what the earth makes — how a crystal forms, what its inclusions say about its birth, why one stone is genuinely rare and another merely pretty. That training doesn't switch off: every stone RJR offers is one Richard has personally examined and verified against its certificate, because to him a gemstone isn't inventory — it's a record of deep time, and it deserves to be represented honestly. Every RJR stone is certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) — the industry's independent standard for gemstone identification and grading. Your GIA certificate ships with your ring, documenting the stone's identity, cut, and characteristics — so what you were told you bought and what's on your finger are provably the same thing. Curious what makes a Brazilian emerald different from one out of Colombia or Zambia? Read about this stone's origin on The Stones page.

Shipping & insurance

Fully insured, signature-required delivery across Canada and the US. Your ring travels covered from our hands to yours.

Returns & resizing

All ring sales are final. Each RJR ring is crafted to order for one owner — sizing and every detail are confirmed personally with Richard before crafting begins, and your deposit remains fully refundable until that moment.
